I’m a recruiter with a passion for written expression and a hobby of playing around with data visualization. I live in Durham, NC with my husband and ~hopefully soon-to-be~ foster dogs. I spend the majority of my free time jogging (slowly) or renovating our brand-new-to-us house.

I’ve had a wide array of roles in my time as a “young professional” for loads of reasons. Throughout my adulting years, I’ve gotten a glimpse into the operations of some incredible companies and developed what I hope to be regarded as an informed opinion around career, identity, and the job market.

I believe that no one should be defined by their job. Trust me— been there, done that, and man does it hurt when the job goes away and you are left reevaluating who you are. People have been doing it for centuries and it’s a hard habit to break (see the beginning of this blurb). What matters most in this market are the skills you earn along the way. No job is permanent but what you choose to learn from those experiences are what inform identity.

With all of that in mind, I chose to make a collective portfolio of my work. It’s not just a list of things I’ve done, though I do have a resume on here too. What I really wanted to accomplish with this site was to showcase samples of what I’m capable of in hopes of proving that we’re all more than a job title.
